Robin Boyd and Friends: Open Day 2019

To cap our Robin Boyd: Centenary of Design program exploration of Robin Boyd’s ongoing legacy and the influence of his work, we invite you to explore his life by visiting his childhood home The Robins, the house he built for his family at Walsh Street, and his extraordinary masterwork of modernism The Wright House.  Also visit an early influence to Boyd’s design approach in a sensitively restored home of Walter Burley Griffin and a house designed by Peter McIntyre who worked with Boyd.  All these residences respond to the materiality, landscape, place and the Australian lifestyle Boyd identified as the best qualities for a modern generation of homes.
