The Boyd Circle brings together the best design minds to contribute to the core mission of the Foundation and to educate the public on why design matters.

The Boyd Circle engages closely with the Foundation to generate and contribute to activities and programming that promote inclusive discussion and active public participation in design.

As part of the Boyd Circle you can help:

  • Continue the ethos and legacy of Robin Boyd
  • Enhance the standing of the Robin Boyd Foundation through the involvement of recognised experts in design, architecture and the design legacy of Robin Boyd
  • Advocate for the Foundation and its mission
  • Raise funds and introduce sponsors to the Foundation
  • Provide and encourage volunteers to participate in Foundation activities
  • Contribute to the care and protection of one of Australia’s iconic houses, the home Robin Boyd built for his family at 290 Walsh Street

* Sitdown dinners for Walsh Street accommodate a maximum of 20 people, this type of event can be changed to a stand up cocktail/canapé event for up to 50 people.
*Dinners and cocktail events must finish by 10.30pm due to the residential nature of the house.
** Staff days to take place between the hours of 9.30am and 5.30pm. Any reconfiguration of furniture required, would incur a labour charge.
*** Film screening, book launch or talk event to be undertaken between 6.30pm and 8.30pm

NOTE: Requests to use Walsh Street for Boyd Circle events require six weeks (6) minimum notification via our online form, which provides additional information about the restrictions around using the iconic, heritage listed home.

Frequently Asked Questions

In order to join The Boyd Circle, you must be an architect, architectural practice or other design leader.

Apply to the Robin Boyd Foundation with your preferred level of membership: Pioneers, Opulents, Decadents or Prophets, and make a tax-deductible donation in accordance with your selected membership level (minimum $1,000 donation per financial year).

Boyd Circle members are acknowledged on the Robin Boyd Foundation website, in the Robin Boyd Foundation annual report, and Boyd Circle-related events and initiatives.
