As part of the Robin Boyd Centenary of Design programs, the Robin Boyd Foundation has partnered with Australia Post to create a commemorative stamp issue that marks 100 years since the birth of Robin Boyd, an icon of Australian architecture. Released on 12 February 2019, the stamp designed by Jo Muré of the Australia Post Design Studio notes his short life span with the words Robin Boyd: 1919–71 and features a photograph of his iconic, midcentury modernist Walsh Street house, known as Boyd House II, which Boyd designed in 1957 in Melbourne.

Australia Post consulted with the Foundation and board members Amy Boyd (Boyd’s granddaughter) and Boyd expert Professor Philip Goad to ensure that the stamp and its accompanying maxicard and sheetlet pack reflected the historical and continuing legacy of the architect and his influence in modern commentary about Australian design and the built environment.  For more information about and how to purchase this unique, commemorative stamp, see the links below:
