Quiet Presence – the display of studio models at House Show reveals, through the fundamental stages of conception, assemblage, and realisation the ambition of the studio to create architecture that sits comfortably in its place with a quiet presence.

The works, rather than reacting impulsively, favour a unified and deliberate formation that channel an array of potential responses into a clear and intentional gesture. Focusing on ideological and programmatic clarity, synthesizing complexity and utilising the fundamental components of building, the projects strive to align spatial and structural orders to achieve beauty through utility, structural economy and unified connection to place. Each project is a conversation with the land. A conversation about light, about shadow, about the rhythm of the seasons. It is about the people who will experience the place, who will touch the walls, who will walk the floors. And in this quiet exchange, something enduring is made.

Eldridge Anderson Architects was established in 2016 by directors Scott Eldridge and Jeremy Anderson, with studio members Matt Hogan and Pascal Henle.
