Hannah will discuss recent, unbuilt and on the drawing board projects that contribute to Tribe Studios exploration of the domestic, its role in the city and the importance of home.
Hannah will also reflect on Boyd’s ideas of urban and architectural ugliness in response to this year’s 60th anniversary of Boyd’s publication of The Australian Ugliness.
This talk inaugurates the Boyd Circle initiative: Walsh Street House Guest Talks.
Hannah Tribe | Bio
Hannah Tribe is the Principal of Tribe Studio Architects. She has built the practice, recognised for design excellence in its built and conceptual work in residential and urban design, education, installation and interiors. The practice currently has a team of fifteen architects working on projects in Australia and internationally.
Hannah has taught at the University of Sydney, UTS and UNSW. She has tutored in design and lectured in design and design communications. She is has sat on the NSW Chapter Council of the Australian Institute of Architects. She has been an invited juror on awards panels, including the Australian Institute of Architects Awards and the IDEA Awards and the 2020 Houses Awards.
