The ‘House of Ideas’ presents a poignant window into a collection
of works that often sits outside the more familiar writings or buildings
by Robin Boyd.
To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, Professor Philip Goad
will host a conversation with Peter McIntyre and Mary Featherston.
As Robin Boyd’s close friends and collaborators, this discussion gives
us a personal recollection and the insight to the relationships between
Robin’s architectural ideas and ideas about display.
‘House of Ideas’ uncovers untold narratives and expands the scope
and knowledge of Boyd through, juxtaposing projects and places that
were previously unconnected. For the first time, disparate archives
have been drawn together, catalogued and assembled at Robin Boyd’s
Walsh Street home. Professor Alan Pert
Following the conversation, guests are free to explore the exhibition
contents installed throughout the iconic Walsh Street house.
