‘My Culture, My Story’, we will be offering the opportunity to learn more about Boyd and his design legacy, with guided Design Tours through the Walsh Street residence.
Robin was considered the architectural voice of the late 1940’s – 1960’s. Leading the Small Homes Service and through his weekly newspaper columns in both The Age and Herald, Robin was a defining, thought provoking, and at times, controversial voice. The Design Tour includes an introduction to Boyd, the design of the house, and discussion about Boyd’s ideas and opinions of the time. Guests are then free to explore the house within the 2-hour session:
