The Australian Institute of Architects recognise the best buildings completed in the preceding year in their annual Awards program. The Robin Boyd Foundation, in co-operation with the awarded and commended architectural and design practices and owners of these special residences, are pleased to host these self-guided tours of outstanding awarded and shortlisted projects in Victoria.
Six projects will open for immersive, self-guided tours and are the commended or award winners in the AIA’s major residential categories: alterations and additions, creative adaptation, multiple housing, and interior architecture. Photo : Derek Swalwell

- Book early as this event is expected to sell out – ticket numbers are strictly limited
- This is a self-guided tour
- Tickets will be sent to the email address you use when registering to purchase your tickets
- RBF-AIA Awards Open Day tickets must be pre-purchased
- Tickets for individual properties are not be available

- RBF encourages you to use public transportation to all residence locations
By purchasing a ticket you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions:

Entry to all residences will only be allowed with your allocated ticket and you will need to give your name at the door
- Entry to residences will require visitors to be able to navigate steps
- You will be required to remove your shoes before entering each residence
- All children under 16 must be under the supervision of an adult
- No large bags or backpacks
- No smoking anywhere on the properties
- No eating or drinking inside residences
- No pets allowed on premises
- Do not use the furniture
- Do not touch or handle ornaments and objects inside residences
- Bathroom and kitchen facilities are not to be used
- Do not open cupboard or wardrobe doors
- Do not enter rooms with closed doors
- Keep doorways, passageways and stairwells clear. Move efficiently up and down the staircases – if the stairs are being used, please stand aside to await your turn
- Do not interfere with any plant material in the garden areas
- Follow any instructions given by RBF volunteers
- Tickets are non-refundable
