Dr Christine Phillips, Lecturer Architecture, RMIT University and Dr Peter Raisbeck, Senior Lecturer in Architectural Practice, The University of Melbourne will explore the Robin Boyd collection donated to RMIT in 2008 through the Australian Governments Cultural Gifts Program in memory of Frederick Romberg & Robin Boyd. In 1953 Robin Boyd joined Roy Grounds and Frederick Romberg in partnership, where his primary role was to design houses, but also was involved in some larger non-residential projects. In 1962 when the Gromberg partnership dissolved, Boyd and Romberg formed a partnership. The RMIT Design Archives collection of Boyd material was donated in 2008 through the Australian Governments Cultural Gifts Program in memory of Frederick Romberg and Robin Boyd.
