An accompanying exhibition of shortlisted designs by Ali Azamy, Fynn Turley, Hugh Matthews, James Urlini, Jonas Nutter, Laila Keel, Lydia Alford, Rebecca Andre and Sam Millar will present a broad scope of approaches to reinterpreting the Walsh Street site.
Students were encouraged to engage with Boyd’s ideas, vision and research to inspire their concepts. The resulting entries utilise brickwork and blockwork to create multi-residential schemes that propose solutions to contemporary issues through architecture. A jury comprising Prof Philip Goad, Eve Castle and Simon Pendal reviewed the submissions and selected a winner – who will head to Venice for the Biennale Architettura 2023!
