Kate Ballis on Infra Boyd (2019)
‘Infrared photography shows the unseen spectrum of light emitted by plants undergoing the photosynthesis process. I wanted to focus on
the plants surrounding the Walsh Street house – the towering since deceased Monterey Pine at the front, the monstera plant and lemon
tree in the courtyard and the greenery peeking through the dappled glass in the courtyard.’
